Aviation History

See the Grade Two listed building at  Muswell  Manor.  In l909 it became the first Headquarters of the Aero Club This area has a very important  place in British Aviation History since early flights were made here, and the first UK aircraft factory was established. There are connections with very famous aviators such as Shorts and Rolls, and indeed the most famous of all, Wright who invented the aeroplane in the USA , visited on two occasions.  There is a large memorial opposite    Eastchurch Church , and very close to Sheppey Island Guest House.
